Hi, my name is Serena and I’m a Licensed Esthetician in Charlotte, NC.

I grew up having severe acne and realized at a young age how challenging it can be to find something that works specifically for you. Thankfully I had the support of my mother and she was more than willing to help me find a solution. After numerous dermatology appointments, medications and meltdowns, we decided to go see her esthetician. She sat me down at the age of 12 to go through the science and the chemistry as to why my body was doing this, why this product would work over another, and that it’s a completely normal stage of life.

After years of seeing her patience and kindness as we worked together on my skin, it really instilled something in me. Knowing that there was a profession where I could work with people, help them achieve their skin care goals, and educate them on ingredients and treatments; it was perfect for me.

I have had the opportunity to work in dermatology practices and day spas over the last 5 years,  which has given me the privilege of being exposed to a diverse clientele, and skin care concerns. Every single person that comes to me is going to be completely different and that’s the brilliance of it. With that, I made it a point to further my education, accrue multiple certifications, and found that my passion lied in the speciality of acne and discoloration, not just for the face, but for the lips(by way of cosmetic tattooing) and body as well.

Through these experiences I have found that my philosophy is: Personal skin care equals personal results. That is my mission with starting Serena Armstrong Esthetics. Skin care is a personal journey and I’m excited to share that with you.
